We’re thrilled to share that Edith Cavell & Streatham High Practice, in South East London, has been rated good across all five key areas: Safe, Effective, Caring, Responsive and WellLed, at our recent Care Quality Commission (CQC) inspection. This is a fantastic achievement and reflects the dedication, compassion and hard work of the entire team.

The inspectors highlighted many strengths across the practice, including:

  • They saw that people are protected and kept safe, and that we have a strong learning culture where concerns can be raised confidently and managers investigate incidents thoroughly.
  • Staff understand their roles clearly and work together with kindness, professionalism and genuine care.
  • The way people are treated with compassion, dignity and respect
  • How staff support individual preferences, protect privacy and make sure every person has real choice in their care and treatment.

We are especially proud that the inspection recognised our positive culture, noting that leaders and staff share a vision based on listening, learning and trust. Leaders were described as visible, knowledgeable and supportive, helping staff develop and grow in their roles. The service also supports staff wellbeing, creating a healthy and encouraging environment for everyone.

The inspectors also celebrated our strong connection with the local community. Managers work closely with partners to deliver the best possible care and are receptive to new ideas. There is a genuine culture of continuous improvement, with staff given time and resources to explore new approaches and make meaningful changes.

We are delighted with this 'good' rating across all categories. It reflects the commitment of our team and the trust and support of our patients. We’re already building on the helpful recommendations provided and are excited to continue improving and growing.
