Celebrating Excellence: The 2025 Above & Beyond Awards

And the winners are...

On Wednesday 9th July 2025, Operose Health brought together 100 colleagues from across our organisation, and the country, for a night of celebration and recognition for the 2025 Above & Beyond Awards.

Our Above & Beyond Awards, or ABAs, are designed to recognise our colleagues who consistently go ‘above and beyond’ for our patients, communities and teams. The Above & Beyond Awards have six categories are and centered around Operose Health’s values:

  • The Caring Award
  • The Ambitious Award
  • The Resourceful Award
  • The Excellence Award
  • The Team of the Year Award
  • The Above & Beyond Award

Colleagues and teams are nominated by their peers for the awards, and from the over 175 nominations we received, those who were shortlisted for the awards were then invited to our awards ceremony held in Ansty Hall, Coventry.

“The best night of the year”

It truly was an honour to be able to bring so many of our colleagues together on this special night. In a time where demands on primary care have never been greater, our teams continue to show extraordinary resilience, adaptability and such commitment to our patients – and to each other.

Addressing our colleagues at the awards, CEO Samantha Kane said:

“To every finalist, every winner, and everyone who’s been nominated - you’ve truly reminded us why Operose Health is so special. Our 2025 awards ceremony, has been a celebration of passion, compassion, and perseverance. The stories we’ve heard, the achievements we’ve recognised, and the values we’ve seen in action have been nothing short of inspiring

“What stands out most to me is that every award tonight represents far more than individual effort, it reflects a commitment to better care, stronger teams, and healthier communities. The new 10 year plan talks about a New NHS, a collaborative, neighbourhood focused NHS that places the patient at its core and requires teamwork and new ways of working across service boundaries. Tonight highlights that this is not new news for us – we are leading the way, the very best in community focused primary care.”.
