Rainham Health Centre, North East London

Memorial plaque unveiled in honour of much-loved Rainham GP

Our practice is pleased to share that a new memorial plaque has been unveiled at Rainham Health Centre in memory of Dr Abdullah, one of the surgery’s founding GPs, fondly remembered by patients and colleagues as a “gentle giant.”

The plaque recognises his decades of compassionate, high-quality care and his profound impact on the Rainham community. His commitment to patients continues to influence the way we work today, forming the foundations on which the practice still proudly stands.

NHS North East London ICB has published a full statement celebrating Dr Abdullah’s contribution to local healthcare and the warm memories shared by those who knew him.

We welcome patients and community members to visit the surgery and take a moment to reflect on his remarkable service.
